Hive Hire

Its important that every beehive is checked and monitored regularly so to ensure we can do this, we have to be selective about areas we can offer hives for hire. This is predominantly the West Melton, Rolleston, Lincoln and nearby areas. Read more about our Hive Hire service here

Wasp Removal

aWe love our bees, but not wasps. As well as trying to share your BBQ food in summer, the neighborhood wasps will also kill and eat bees and their larvae.

DT’s Bees can help with your wasp problems. If you have found a wasp nest on your property – above ground, or below, our poison of choice is a permethrin based insecticide which is sprayed into and around the nest entrance.
When wasps are a problem but the nest cant be located, Vespex is the answer, but only between approximately January - April. DT is a registered Vespex user who can test and safely install   bait stations. Vespex is a poison that is highly attractive to wasps (and not bees) Call us for help to safely stop these critters from sharing their summer with you.

Bumble Bee Removal

Bumble bees don’t make honey, but are wonderful to see in the garden and are important for pollination of some flowers which honey bees cant. They live in small colonies of only 50-200 bees usually at ground level (maybe under a shed, or in a compost pile) and will only stay for a season. If you find one these and its not possible to just leave it as, we can help with removing and re-homing the bees.
